1. Baluchistan pygmy jerboa ali Dwarf Three-toed Jerboa
Žival z zelo zanimivim imenom spada med glodavce in jo lahko najdemo v visoko ležeči puščavi Nushki na jugozahodu Pakistana. Odrasla žival v dolžino meri približno le dobre 4,4 cm in tehta 3,8 g, repek pa je dolg od 7,2 cm pa do 9,4 cm.
2. Brookesia micra
Brookesia micra spada med plazilce in v dolžino zraste le pičlih 29mm. Najdemo jih le na severu Madagaskarja, na otoku Nosy Hara.
3. Monte Iberia eleuth ali Eleutherodactylus iberia
Ta majhna dvoživka spada med skrajno ogrožene vrste. V to skupino uvrščamo živali, katerih številčnost se je ali pa se še bo zmanjšala za 80 % v naslednjih treh generacijah. Živi na najvzhodnejšem delu Kube, zrastejo pa do dolžine 10 mm.
4. Hippocampus Denise
Znan tudi kot Denise’s pygmy seahorse – je en izmed najmanjših morskih konjičkov. Zraste do 2,4 cm, in čeprav je vrsta izjemno redka, ga najdemo v zahodnih delih Tihega oceana, Indoneziji, republiki Vanuatu, Palau, Maleziji, Salomonovih otokih in v Federativnih državah Mikronezije.
5. Čmŕlji kolíbri (bee hummingbird, zunzuncito ali Helena hummingbird)
Spada v družino kolibrijev in velja za najmanjšo ptico na svetu. Ta vrsta kolibrija je endemit, kar pomeni, da ga je moč najti le v določenih delih sveta, v tem primeru na Kubi in na otoku Isla de la Juventud. Samičke zrastejo do 6,1 cm in tehtajo 2,6 g, medtem ko samci merijo 5,5 cm, težki pa so le 1,95 g.
