RESNIČNE OSEBE IZ FILMA TITANIC
Kdo ne pozna slavnega filma Titanic? Posnet po resničnem dogodku – vendar ne povsem. Nekatere osebe, ki jih vidimo v filmu namreč niso bile resnične. Seveda pa so obstajali potniki, ki so bili res na tej ladji in so se tudi rešili, mnogi pa žal izgubili življenja. Katere so resnične osebe iz filma Titanic? Poglejte!
RMS Titanic (Royal Mail Ship Titanic) je bila potniška ladja, za tisti čas največja in najbolj luksuzna na svetu. Sprejela je lahko do 2.453 potnikov in okoli 890 članov posadke. Iz Southampton-a je izplula 10. aprila 1912, žal pa je le nekaj dni kasneje, 14.-15. trčila v ledeno goro in potonila. Na ta dan je življenje izgubilo 1.517 ljudi.
Leta 1997 je James Cameron režiral istoimenski film, v katerem je kar se da natančno predstavil žalostno usodo ladje, ki je takrat veljala za nepotopljivo. V filmu sta kot glavna igralca znana Leonardo DiCaprio in Kate Winslet, vendar njuna ljubezenska zgodba ni resnična.
Kapitan Edward John Smith
Prvi, ki ga moramo omeniti je seveda kapitan ladje. Edward John Smith je bil izkušen kapitan, ki je poveljeval takrat največji potniški ladji Titanic. Kot je prikazano v filmu (vlogo igra Bernard Hill) se je Edward John Smith potopil skupaj z ladjo.

John Jacob Astor IV
Ameriški podjetnik, izumitelj, pisatelj in vlagatelj John Jacob Astor IV (v filmu igralec Eric Braeden) je bil prav tako resničen potnik, ki se je v nesreči utopil. Takrat 41-letnik je bil poročen z 18-letnico, kar je bil velik škandal, ki je bil tudi omenjen v filmu. John Jacob Astor naj bi bil tudi najbogatejši Američan tistega časa.

Margaret “Molly” Brown
Znana tudi kot ”nepotopljiva Molly Brown” je bila ameriška filantropka. Vzdevek je dobila, ko je brez pomisleka pomagala potnikom do reševalnih čolnov. Ko pa so jo po dolgem prepričevanju spravili v reševalni čoln številka 6, je pograbilo eno izmed vesel in hotela pomagati ostalim potnikom, ki so se utapljali.
